What's new in Windows 10 Mobile build 14267

Microsoft has started rolling out Windows 10 Mobile build 14267 to Windows Insiders who have prefered fast update ring. The latest build provides an improved Microsoft Edge and an improvement to Cortana's music features. Searching music in Cortana is now easier with a music search icon at the top right. The InPrivate tabs are now easier to find in Microsoft Edge browser since it has shifted next to the new tab button. Microsoft's Word Flow keyboard now works well within the Edge browser and Skype has been updated to include files attachment through a paperclip icon.

Searching music in Cortana - has become easier. There is a music search icon at the top right of Cortana. Tap the search icon to make Cortana listen and search that sone that's playing. 


Microsoft Edge updates - Word Flow now works in the address bar in Microsoft Edge browser. It's now easier to open InPrivate tabs on your phone. It is harder to find the InPrivate option if you are using a older build but with build 14267, the button has been moved to right next to the new tab button. Also, Microsoft Edge has been updated to show a prompt when you start a download and cancel the ones you don't need it.

Messaging and Skype enhancement - Attaching photos and files to Skype has become easier by tapping on the paperclip icon at the lower left. Camera app can be used to take a snap and attach it to message.

Here's what is have been fixed in Build 14267

  • Shape writing ignoring every second word when typing into a text box on a website in Microsoft Edge has now been fixed. 
  • Not able to hide the navigation bar in Windows Phone 8.1 apps like WhatsApp, Twitter, Weibo and others have been fixed.
  • Earlier videos recorded on SD memory cars would result in a large number of dropped frames, which has been sorted out now. 
  • Improved app launch reliability and crashes that lead to phone reboot.
  • Improved live tiles animations and logic for refreshing live tiles.
  • Hinglish Keyboard has been added.
