Lumia 650 announced - nice metallic design under $200

Perhaps the last Lumia has finally been announced from Microsoft. The Windows 10 powered Lumia 650 has been announced and will be launching in Europe on February 18 at $199.

Featuring a 5-inch OLED HD720 display with capacitive multipoint touch, the mid-ranged Lumia 650 sports a nice metallic design and is targeted towards the business users. The Lumia 650 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 Quad Core processor with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The primary camera is of 8 mega pixel with LED flash, and there is a 5 mega pixel front camera for the selfie lovers and video calling.

The smartphone is available in two variants - single SIM and dual SIM and you have the option to choose from a black or white color. Though it does come with Windows 10 Mobile, the processor is a bit older and won't be able to support Continuum. Also, there is no Windows Hello. The internal storage of 16 GB is a positive point along with the sleep and metallic light weight body.

Lumia 650Microsoft has released the Lumia 650 in Europe as of now, where it has some presence and the other parts of the world have to wait till its release. It is costing $199.

Overall, though Microsoft has yet again targeted the lower end mobile segment with a not-so-powerful processor and the non-support for Continuum and Windows Hello, the sleep metallic design powered with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage looks good for a device costing under $200.

What's your take? Given an option, will you buy Lumia 650, why and why not. Tell us in the comments.
