Want a great Windows Phone, wait for HP Elite x3

Some days ago, it was rumored that HP is working on a Windows 10 powered handset with a pretty good configuration, and the rumor turns out to be true. Code named "Falcon", the phone is expected to be announced at MWC next week. Ahead of its launch, there are images and specifications leaked online about this phablet HP Elite x3.

HP Elite x3 is HP's re-entry to the smartphone market and features one of the best specifications in the market. With a 5.96 inch QHD touchscreen and 16 MP primary and 8 MP secondary camera, it looks like a primary competitor the Lumia 950 XL.

HP Elite x3 is powered with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chip set with 4 GB of RAM and a 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded to 200 GB with microSD card. It features a USB 3.0 Type-C USB and Qi wireless charging. The HP Elite x3 is expected to support Continuum and includes the Iris Scanner (Windows Hello). And guess what, it has a fingerprint reader.

If you look at the leaked hardware specifications of HP Elite x3, it is no less to any smartphone in the market and the fact that Windows 10 Mobile requires much less specs to run as compared to its counterpart Android, it will be a hell lot of smooth experience.

The only thing to look out for will be its price. With such hardware, the phone may just not fit into everyone's pocket. Also, I would expect a not-XL version. Almost 6-inch smartphone is not everyone willing to have, the only reason I returned my Lumia 640 XL.

What's your take on the HP Elite x3? Will it bring a however small increase in Windows market share in smartphone world. Or, will it be another failure. Microsoft handsets has not been able to create any significant curiosity among the buyers.
