Alcatel launches Windows 10 Mobile, One Touch Fierce XL

It was Acer earlier which launched a Windows Phone named Acer Liquid Jade Primo and now its Alcatel announcing its first Windows 10 Phone, One Touch Fierce XL at CES 2016. The Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL will be available via T-Mobile in US later this month. The price is yet to be revealed, however the company assured it will be "affordable".

Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL will feature a 5.5-inch HD display with a quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor that will run with 2GB RAM. It will have 16GB of Internal Storage which is expandable through MicroSD card. The Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL will feature a 8 megapixel primary camera and a 2 megapixel front facing camera and will carry a 2,500 mAh battery wtih 0-100% charging in 3 hours. The handset is available in only light blue color.

One Touch Fierce XL

With an entry level specifications, the Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL has nothing extra-ordinary to offer. Though any Windows fan looking for something that is non-Lumia can try one since the company has promised to keep it affordable. Also, if you already have a primary device in your hand and you need another one, it is surely a good choice since it will be pre-loaded with Microsoft's Office Mobile productivity suite that will include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote and OneDrive.

Also, the handset will come bundled with Windows 10 Mobile OS and will include Cortana- the personal assistant, Edge browser and other features.

It is indeed a good sign for Windows fans, when other smartphone makers are prioritizing Windows 10 Mobile over Android. It was first Acer, and now Alcatel with HTC having some handsets under its belt that runs on Windows phone OS. Well, even HP is thinking on one! Stay tuned.
